Trans Canada Trail ponies up for CBS T’Railway

By Craig Westcott

The Town of CBS has picked up another $45,000 to offset its own share of funding the improvements to the T’Railway in Seal Cove.
Councillor-at-large Christine Butler, who chair’s council’s economic development committee, said the money is coming from the Trans Canada Trail association.
“This is additional funds to offset the Town’s costs for this project, which is now reduced to $220,617 on the $1.49 million project,” Butler said. “This constitutes 14 per cent, meaning to date 86 per cent of the funds for our T’Railway phase four project is coming from external sources, which is wonderful.”
Mayor Darrin Bent said the T’Railway upgrades in Seal Cove will get done and hopefully more external money will come in as well.
