Seven-year-old Lillian Street, a grade two student at Octagon Pond Elementary, is this year’s winner of the Town of Paradise’s annual Christmas card contest. Each year, elementary students are invited to submit Christmas card designs, and a winner is selected by town staff, a hard task no doubt. The winning design will be used for the Town of Paradise’s Christmas cards. Lillian’s card portrays a merry winter scene, as snow falls gently around the Town Hall building, which is adorned with a Christmas tree and friendly snowman. Lillian herself got to visit the Town Hall, along with her family, where Mayor Dan Bobbett presented her with a prize bag, which included a copy of the 2021 Christmas card. Lillian also helped flip the switch at the town’s tree lighting ceremony earlier in the month.
