CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

Join us for our Annual Fall Fair at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Topsail on November 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lots of deals on Christmas crafts, bake sale and preserves to name a few. Plan to take advantage of our takeout soup lunch or our chip truck on site.

50+ Club is now accepting new members. We have a card game on Thursdays at 2 p.m. at the Kiwanis Club. Drop by – phone 229-6569.

All Saints Parish Fall Fair November 11th, doors open at 12 noon, all sales on upper level of Parish Hall. A lunch of soup and sandwiches on lower lever. Roast Beef Supper and card game starting at 5 p.m. Bring your own table of cards. Registration is required. Call Enid 682-9367, Aura 682-3775, Barb 834-4795, Dot 834-5052. Proof of Vaccinations is required for admission to the Parish Hall.

4 p.m.  Clients must apply in person.Please bring ID with proof of address, MCP cards for everyone in the household, Proof of Income (cheque stub or latest tax return, Proof of shared custody (if applicable).  Please note that we only provide for children up to age 16 years. We will be checking with other agencies to avoid duplication. We will be practising Covid 19 Regulations.  Masks are mandatory. Only one person per family. Contact the office. St Peters Parish, Upper Gullies, sale of beautifully decorated outdoor Christmas Pots and a Bake Sale, Saturday Nov.27th, 10-12 at the Parish Hall. ST. MARY’S BAY

Remembrance Day Parade and Service, Royal Canadian Legion Br 62 Riverhead, St Mary’s Bay Thursday, November 11. Any organizations wishing to parade please be there to form before 10:30. We invite any Veterans wishing to march as well to form by 10:30. We invite anyone from Portugal Cove South to North Harbour to attend.  Any Individuals or Organizations wishing to lay wreaths please call 525-2712 to leave names of who wreath is for and who will be laying wreath.  Due to Covid restrictions, only one person permitted to lay wreath. Unfortunately, we will not be having a public reception at branch following service.

Bingo Friday, Nov. 12 at Royal Canadian Legion, Riverhead St. Mary’s Bay. Doors open 7:30 p.m., Bingo starts at 8:30 p.m. Jackpot to go, Toonie Jar to go, and Nevada. Due to Covid guidelines, 90 people max. Call 525-2712 to book your bubble. Vaccine passports will be required.

Christmas Craft Fair at the Royal Canadian Legion Riverhead, St. Mary’s Bay – Saturday November 20, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission $2. Featuring 50/50 tickets, over 25 vendors. Covid Vaccine passports required and Covid guidelines will be followed. Come out and bring a friend or two. PS: Don’t forget your shopping bags.

Fundraiser for Mental Health, hosted by Alex Taylor, November 13th, 7 p.m. at The Lantern, 35 Barnes Road.  Performers: Claire Hutchings, Jessie Connolly and Overpass. $20 in advance (691-4020). We pay 100 per cent of proceeds to Dollar A Day Foundation. COVID passport required.
