Darts are on at Worsley Park

Despite fears about a potential second wave of coronavirus in some parts of the country, things are starting to inch back towards some kind of normal for some senior citizens in Conception Bay South.

At last week’s public council meeting, councillor Cheryl Davis outlined some of the activities that staff have been preparing for seniors who make use of the Worsley Park 50+ facility in Chamberlains.

“They’ve developed a safe return plan that will allow the Club to ease back into activities such as meetings, dart games and dinners while also staying safe,” Davis said.

The activities may not resume with the same sizes as usual, but Davis said any start is better than none and that any changes can be made as time goes on.

Darts officially started back up on Friday, Oct. 9.

“I’m sure there’s a lot of happy people out there, especially on Friday,” Davis said.
