The Town of Paradise has chosen a consultant to draft its 2019-2022 strategic plan.

Eight proposals were received, with bids ranging from approximately $47,000 to $60,000.

The town voted unanimously on March 5 to award Twells Consulting Inc. the job at a cost of $47, 673.

Deputy Mayor Elizabeth Laurie noted her excitement about the upcoming strategic plan and explained there will be more public involvement than in prior strategies.

“There’s going to be substantial public input to our strategic plan. It’s going to be a little bit different than the ones we’ve done in the past,” she told council.

Work is expected to begin in April, and the plan is to be finished by the end of summer.
