It is a very beautiful place. The area is still designated as a Provincial Park on the gov. Forestry map..and is held as crown land. But not is it not being cared for?? The area is being cut out even though there are NO CUTTING signs. The paths that locals once used as walking trails, myself included, are now inaccessible due to numerous ‘blowdowns’ . My husband attempted to clear the path voluntarily at my request and complaining last winter but received a ticket and a fine for illegal cutting. So..who then is responsible for the neglect and abuse that is going on year after year in this ”park”?? Why is it still OFF LIMITS to development. We want to enjoy this gem among us. We want to see it revived!! Local Town Councils could apply for funding through the various projects to have it rejuvenated a s
to become..Holyrood Pond Walking Trails and Picnic Area. A group of volunteers are willing to clear the mess if there is no fear of being ticketed for so-called illegal cutting!!
