Members of the CBS Community Youth Choir enjoy rehearsals at Topsail United Church Hall last week for their December 20 Christmas Concert, which will be held in the Church. The choir consists of 22 students from Grades 2 – 12 representing six schools in Conception Bay South. On hand for this rendition of ‘You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch,’ were, starting in the front row, from left: Natalie Lewis, Lydia Nixon, Anna Deacy, Peyton Long, Sydney Hanlon, Liam Hanlon, Brianna Vey, Autumn Gushue, Olivia Walsh, Emma Traverse, Jada Stringer; and in the back row, from left: Bella King, Skylee Squires, co-director Brett Vey, Carter Walsh, Cayleigh Ryan, Charlotte Powell, Sara Vey, Naomi Walsh and Ella Crosbie. The children sang along to a piano accompaniment by co-director Andrea Powell. Missing from the photo are Kaitlyn Bonnell, Grace, DeHann, Chelsea Hodder, Bela Mercer, Jackson Mercer, and Belle Myles. Vey and Powell started the choir just last year. The Tuesday, December 20 concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door for adults. Admission is free for children under 12.
