Dear Editor: This photo of a beautiful Pintail duck was taken this Spring. It and its mate stayed at Frog Pond for several days before continuing their migration. Besides just being lovely. neighbourhood ponds serve a purpose for sustaining wildlife and give us a glimpse of the wider world of wildlife while we go about our ordinary daily lives.
