CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

Theatre CBS is holding open auditions for A Christmas Carol the Radio Play by Philip Grecian. There are 6 male and 5 female adult roles, any age. You do not need a prepared audition piece. Auditions will be held in 30 minute time blocks. To request a time or inquire about the show email theatrecbs@gmail.com. Experience is not necessary. We are also seeking individuals interested in being part of the backstage crew.

Topsail United Church Annual on Line Harvest Festival auction will take place from Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 A.M and will close on Thursday, October 27 at 11 P.M. please visit https://www.charityauctionstoday.com to register to bid.  For more information, please contact the church Office at 834-4567. 

Flea Market.  Giant flea market at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 20 Rectory Rd. Topsail, CBS.  Oct. 22, 9AM – 1 PM.

There will be a Kitchen Party at The Legion, Kelligrews on Saturday, Oct. 29 in aid of the LOL, Foxtrap. Music by Killin’ Time, Shamrock and the Cable Guys. Tickets $10 single. Call Reg at 834-4455 or Ken at 834-8181.

FALL FAIR  at St. Peters Anglican Parish ,CBS, November 5th . 10-12 am: Morning Coffee, Sale of Baked Goods and Gently Used Items. 5 pm :Take Out Cold Plates with Dessert.$15:00 at the door. To reserve your meal call Joyce 743-8550, Ruth 744-2564 or Betty 834-9673. 7:30 pm: Card Game. Please arrange your own table. 

All Saints Parish Fall Fair November 11th. starting at 12 noon.  Soup and sandwiches 12 noon – 2pm. crafts, bake sale, ticket draws, kids games, grab bags, etc.  Hot Roast Beef Supper at 5pm followed by a card game.  Meal cost $15.00 plus $5.00 for cards.  Admission is a donation of cash or a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank.  Your attendance for supper must be booked in advance by calling; Aura 682-3775, Enid 682-9367 or Carol 834-2284.

The MGA 50+Club will hold a cold plate dinner and dance at the Star of the Sea in Holyrood on October 21 at 7:00 p.m. Music by Brian Finn. For tickets call Mary at 229-7850 or Sadie at 229-4094. Deadline for tickets is October 17. Members $20. Non members $25

The Newfoundland and Labrador Stuttering Association (NLSA) is hosting a VIRTUAL …’a million things I need to say’ 1K/5K Walk, Run & Roll for Stuttering Awareness and Bursary Program Fundraiser on the weekend of October 22/23.  October 22 is also International Stuttering Awareness Day (ISAD).
