Building activity on the increase in Carbonear

Requests for building permits for new houses are up in Carbonear so far this year compared to last year.

“We are up to seven new housing applications to date,” councillor Dannielle Doyle reported last week during her economic development report. “So, it’s up a bit from the last couple of years of Covid and high building prices. Hopefully that’s a sign of good things to come. There are two home applications on this permit listing for this (two week) period alone.”
