More than 600 turn out for CBS cleanup

Over 100 teams comprising more than 600 people braved overcast skies and chilly temperatures this past Saturday to participate in the Town of Conception Bay South’s Three-Hour Challenge. After the cleanup, participants gathered at Robert French Memorial Stadium in Kelligrews where they were treated to hot dogs and burgers served up by members of the CBS Lions Club, as well as Tim Horton’s coffee and treats. Also on hand were bouncy castles, a face painting, photo booth and other attractions. The event, which is organized annually by the Town, was sponsored by the owners of the three local Tim Horton’s stores in CBS, as well as by The Shoreline newspaper and Musically Inclined.
