The Town of Conception Bay South presented its Volunteer of the Year Awards Monday evening in conjunction with the Lions Club. The winner of the Citizen of The Year Award, Eric Hart, couldn’t attend the ceremony because of another volunteer commitment. However, Youth Volunteer of the Year Award winner Hope Bishop-Frizzell was able to make it along with the other nominees for the Citizen’s award. Among those present were, starting in the back row from left: nominees Robert Squires, Jackie Reed (accepting on behalf of her sister Eileen Kavanagh), and Clifford Fowler; and in the front row, from left: nominee Norine Taylor, Hope Bishop-Frizzell, and nominee Ryan Peach.
