Paradise removes bench near sliding hill

The Town of Paradise has removed a metal bench from a popular sliding hill following reports of an accident over the weekend.

“As we all know over the weekend, many residents reached out to us regarding a sliding accident that occurred up on Paradise Park Saturday evening,” said councillor Larry Voters during the February 1 meeting. “I checked with staff today and can confirm that the bench has been removed, and the garbage bin will be removed tomorrow as well, so that’s good for sure. I want to thank staff for taking those steps to make the sliding hill an even safer experience for all.”

The bench was located near the bottom of the sliding hill.
