Santa parade returning to CBS on December 11

By Staff/November 18

Santa Claus is coming to town—well to a lot of towns actually— as the vaccination rate continues to hold down the infection rate of Covid-19.

Conception Bay South was the latest town to announce Tuesday that Santa is planning a return for the annual parade that is named in his honour.

Mayor Darrin Bent said the Town has been actively working to stage a parade this year. “We’re just waiting on one document from the Province and that is a sign-off on the traffic plan for Route 60,” he explained. “Once we have that in hand, and I have been given some information late this afternoon that indicates we are going to have it in our hands tomorrow, and once that happens we are going to announce the details of the Santa Claus parade for this year.”

The tentative date for the parade is Saturday, December 11.

The week before that, on December 4, Santa plans to attend parades in Bay Roberts, Harbour Grace and Carbonear.
